About Samira Hakimi
I’m Samira Hakimi, a dedicated swimming and diving instructor with over 25 years of experience. My journey in the water began at the age of 2 in Tehran, Iran, where I first learned to swim and became water-safe, developing a deep sense of comfort and confidence in the water. As I grew older, I mastered various swimming techniques and joined competitive teams, participating in numerous swimming championships. This path led me to Shahid Keshvari Pool, where I became a swimming technique correction coach, competition referee, and lifeguard instructor.
At 18, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education at Tehran University Central Campus while simultaneously advancing my diving expertise. I traveled to Europe to obtain professional diving and diving instructor certifications from CMAS, one of the world’s most reputable diving organizations. Upon returning to Iran, I began teaching scuba diving in Qeshm, Kish, and Tehran, helping others explore the beauty of the underwater world.
After completing my degree, I moved to the United States, where I continued my professional development, earning swimming coaching, lifeguarding, and diving certifications from DAN and other esteemed organizations. For the past 15 years, I have been running my own swimming and diving training business in the U.S., sharing my expertise and passion with students of all ages.
I am deeply passionate about teaching and working with children. My goal is to equip every student with the essential skill of swimming safety, ensuring they feel secure and confident in any aquatic environment. Beyond safety, I believe swimming is a lifelong sport that promotes physical well-being and overall health. For those aspiring to compete, I provide structured training to prepare them for swimming teams and championships.
